Breakfast Nook in Canaan Valley

Food was ok, if you want service without an attitude this is NOT the place for you. I was served a glass of sour milk. I had to walk up to ask for a refill of coffee and got an eye roll. If I could leave 0 stars for service I would. Left a $2 tip anyway trying to be nice, not even a thank you as we walked out the door. Quite literally the worst service I have ever had in my lifetime. If you’re staying at the resort, drive somewhere else for breakfast or fix your own.

I had a good breakfast here Sunday. Arrived today at 10:29. Place was closing despite the big sign saying it was open until 11:00. Had to add an extra 20 miles to my trip..

This is an amazing place! Great food, great prices, and serving a greater purpose than just breakfast. Wonderful concept for the area. Best breakfast in the area!!!

While staying at the nearby Land of Canaan Vacation Resort to go skiing at Timberline, we enjoyed our meal at the Breakfast Nook. The waitress was attentive, taking good care of us. They were also accommodating, as my youngest isn't very big on breakfast, so he was ecstatic that he was able to order off the lunch menu. The food was good, the portions were generous and the price was very reasonable. Will most definitively return on our next visit to Davis.

The waitress was racist towards my family. While she treated everyone with a smile, she treated us as if it was the 1960s. The food was great with generous portions. But a meal with discriminating waitstaff doesn't taste good.

Cozy little cafe with a smaller but very tasty menu and attentive service. Bring your cash, they don't take a credit or debit card to keep their expenses down. My ham & cheese omelet was cooked to perfection!

I'm totally in love with this place - food with a mission is something that I'm all about. The girls who work here are really sweet and super cool, and the food is really good! Make sure you bring cash with you if you're an out of town visitor as they don't take cards.

Great food and a friendly atmosphere. It is a small place. But I would recommend this place. We had 22 people and they made room for us.

Generious Portions of Excellent Food. We eat breakfast here several mornings while staying nearby. This is an excellent place to take your family.

Wonderfull

The bacon was great, the pancakes were underwhelming. The restaurant itself was kind of confusing. People of all ages were coming and going from behind the counter, the ice machine was broken, and I left relatively full but wanting more.

It was underwhelming. The staff wasn't on their "A" game and the biscuits and gravy were over priced for what you got. If breakfast is going to be your business, it should be outstanding.

Pancakes were dry and I seen the cook with no hairnet, no gloves and coughing in the kitchen. Didn't even eat a forth of our plates.

Huge sign out front saying opened 7 days a week. Drove by several times. Called 3-4 times before driving over but the line was always busy. Arrived to find that they are closed on Sunday's. I guess their week has 8 days in it? A waste of a 20 minute drive each way. With the dearth of restaurants- especially breakfast- in the Canaan area you would think they would stay open.

Delicious! My sausage biscuit was amazing, and the hashbrowns were perfectly crispy. My husbands eggs were fresh, and the chipped beef was on point. We sat outside next to the delightful faery garden, and our server and the chef were friendly and attentive. The coffee was wonderfully smooth, fresh and bottomless, and my cream was served in a little metal pitcher. All in all, just a great way to start our day enjoying the area!
